Kinetische Kunst in Basel Kunst-Ausstellung Alexander Calder & Fischli/Weiss noch bis 4. September in der Fondation Beyeler, Riehen/Basel. Alexander Calder wurde am 22. Juli 1898 geboren und wäre in diesem Monat 118 Jahre alt geworden. Der herausragende amerikanische Künstler ist der Meister des fragilen Gleichgewichts in der Moderne. Mit der wegweisenden Schöpfung des Mobiles hat er die Balance zwischen Schwerkraft und Schwerelosigkeit erlebbar gemacht. Sein Werk ist der Suche nach dem Gleichgewicht gewidmet, was auch das Hauptthema der diesjährigen Sommerausstellung der Fondation Beyeler ist.
